Schipfe

This alley in Schipfe, one of the oldest residential districts of Zurich, was always my favourite way to approach the Lake along the banks of the Limmat river. The twin towers of Grossmünster Cathedral are visible in the distance. Two rivers, the Limmat and the Sihl wind their way through the city and merge at one point. Some of the most tranquil spots are found along their banks. There's something about the sound and sight of moving water that calms the soul. I am always drawn to it.
